B.G. Knocc Out & Dresta
B.G. Knocc Out & Dresta are two brothers from Compton that are most famous for working with pioneering Gangsta Rap performer Eazy-E during the early 1990'S before his death.
B.G. Knocc Out & Dresta were affiliated with the Crips during the 1980'S and 90's. They had to help care for their brothers and sisters during their childhood due to the fact that their father was not present in their lives. They resorted to drug-dealing and crime to get them through life and while Dresta was in a Juvenile Detention Center in the late 80'S he gained an interest in Rapping. After getting out, he showed his brother, B.G, and they started to practice.
During the early 90'S, former drug dealer and rapper from N.W.A., Eazy-E, noticed the brothers unique rapping talents and had them perform on a few of the tracks on his, "It's On (Dr. Dre) 187um Killa" album and most notably on Real Muthaphukkin G's.
After this exposure, they decided to record their own album album, "Real Brothas" in 1995 that consisted of Gangsta Rap and G-Funk tracks. This album contained a few minor hits but never gave them lasting fame due to the fact that their mentor and premoter, Eazy-E, died just before the release. Since then, the album has been hailed as a classic G-Funk sample and sells highly with collectors due to the rarity of copies.
After this album, B.g. Knocc Out was arrested and has been in and out of prison since then. He plans to release an album entitled, "Jealousy" but little information has come out since the announcement in 2006. Read more on Last.fm.
